Webmistress Cristina I first became aware of Despina about 7 years ago, in 2004, but did not become a fan until late 2006/2007. On a funny game with a Greek friend of mine, Ilianna, in which we were supposed to sing a song from the other’s language, she picked a Despina song for me, and I got so curious about her voice and music that I immediately got all of her albums, singles, music in general and that was love not at first sight, but at first ear! Ever since I have become one of her biggest fans, and I decided to start an English fansite, cause she didn’t have one, for non Greek speaker fans like me, to get to know her news and everything. After many failed attempts, Despina Vandi Fan was finally open for business on August 15th, 2008!! I decided to keep a list of my sources, where I take things for the site. Some I really don’t know, since they are emailed to me and I cannot guess where they were taken from, so if you think I should credit you for something, let me know and you’ll be added to the list.
