“To be honest, I am very scared of premieres” – says Despina Vandi. “It’s been a long time since I present myself in Athens. I had a beautiful Winter in Thessaloniki, I had the chance to take my family with me and the public there was great as well”, the singer said on an interview to “Poly Bla Bla” yesterday.
One day before her official premiere in Thalassa People’s Stage, the Greek star, when questioned about which artist she would want to collaborate in the future, says that “what I frankly want to make in the future has nothing to do with collaborations and concrete individuals. My interests is to make things as they come, as one, what the world will see in Thalassa, with a very new and reasonable prospect”, adding that “my goals for my career now are to make things and appearances that will make me cheerful, because then I will feel that I make cheerful those who come to have fun with me too”.
Explaining the meaning of her latest hit “Koritsi Prama”, Despina says that “it is a song that wants to show the differences that exist between men and women”.
Finally reported that her collaboration with Phoebus, that has accompanied her for so many years, and her assignment with his own record company, she says that “for me it has absolutely no difference. We work the same way we have done before, we simply changed the roof; after so many years I feel like family with him”.
