The preparation of her new album, advertisements of cosmetics companies and organizations of live performances at “Thalassa” night club have made Despina and exhausted woman, which is now desperately looking for some well deserved rest. A good mother that does not want to lose time with her children, constantly deprived of sleeping – she’s particularly troubled.

It’s not like anyone can complain, after all success takes time and patience. Appears that the fatigue only made her lose some weight and that’s it. The love for her work gives her energy to go on, although she’s seriously thinking in escaping with her family for an early Easter celebration.

It’s good to be a star but there’s of course the bad aspects of it.

According to a recent publication of the newspaper “Espresso” Despina Vandi could be doing a collaboration with Antonis Remos on next winter; same works for Anna Vissi and Sakis Rouvas, all big names on the music industry in Greece.

Both artists are already working with the same operator, Antonis with “Diogenis Studio” whenever time occurs and Despina in “Thalassa” which starts next month, all belonging to the Papatheochari group.

Yupi tried contacting Despina’s managements who was unwilling to deny or confirm the rumours.

As the new face of Oriflame cosmetics, lately Despina has participated in a lot of events to promote the brand. The popular singer, dressed casually and looking better than ever spoke to Star about this new project of hers.

I found an article that talks about Despina’s new album. It’s quite old, from early February, but I didn’t have the chance to post earlier, so you can read now.

After finishing her nightclub performances in the second biggest Greek city, Despina is preparing her new album, an usual collaboration with Phoebus. After her big summer hit “Yparxei Zwh” the singer is ready to go back to studio and work on some new material.

The first song is expected to be heard on March 7th on Natalia Germanou’s “Chart Show” in Alpha channel. The complete record should be out by the end of the Spring. At the same time Despina will be preparing some new shows and making it her comeback to Athenian dance floors, since she already accepted two proposals from two night clubs.

Apparently we will have to wait another week, since various sources tell Despina is going to released her new song on March 14th and not today

Everyone knows the name of Despina’s little son – Giorgos – but the reason why he hasn’t been baptised yet, is still unknown. Why has the ceremony been delayed this much?

Despina and husband Demis Nikolaidis had the ceremony arranged for summertime, but due to her profissional commitments, her 2009 summer tour, this was again not possible. Despina and her collaborators had initially programed a specific number of concerts that however was increased due to the success of the tour since it exceeded everyone’s expectations.

The christening was set to happen right after her last concert, but more came along and she ended up going to Thessaloniki in Winter for her live performances at Politeia. The shows ended finally on January 23rd, although her manager wanted to expand them due to the huge success it showed to be.

After returning to Athens, Despina accepted a lot of new work offers, which means she should start performing anytime soon around Easter time or even Summer, but she had stated that this time nothing will keep her from baptising her son, that becomes 3 years old on August 23rd.

One of the last projects she accepted was not to sing in any nightclub but yes to be the face of the new Oriflame campaign, the cosmetics company. She was asked to try the products and then tell if she would accept to be part of the project what ended being a yes. I added a few photos from this even just a few days ago.

Well I hope this turns to be a great year for her, with lots of new projects, we could really get some new music and of course that she finally manages to baptise her son.

On next March 14th Despina will be at Natalia Germanou’s “Chart Show”, an emission that has as subject the best Greek singers of the last 50 years, with Despina being among the first 5! Despina is set to sing some of her old sucesses and classically present her new upcoming song for the first time ever!!

I could swear this is going to happen on March 7th, not 14th but I got this new from a Greek online newspaper so I am not sure if it’s reliable or not. Who lives in Greece can know this better than me.

After her last concerts in Ksanthi, for the city’s Carnival events, Despina was seen at the premiere of the movie “Ama De Se Thelei”, directed by Vasilis Nemea and staring her good friend Kleon Grigoriadis.
At the same time, Despina is in negotiations for some summer concerts in the nightclub “Thalassa” in Glyfada.

Despite all of this she still finds time to do some exercise with her personal trainer in a well known gym in Maroussi where she does mostly pilates.
