Who doesn’t remember Despina’s 2001 Christmas hit Xristougenna? Well, after 9 years the song has been recorded again, by several artists from Despina’s label, Spicy, such as Elli Kokkinou, Thanos Petrelis, Elisavet Spanou, Panos Kalidis, etc..

The song is VERY different from the original, and personally I don’t like it, but it’s still okay to listen. You can hear it on the video below! I also added some promo photos for the song with Despina featured. Too bad she doesn’t participate on this new version.

Although her name isn’t among the artists and she hasn’t recorded any song, she was in Beijing along with Brazilian singer Daniela Mercury and Chinese pop star Wei Wei. I added 24 MQ photos to the gallery.

There is also a video on the website, featuring Despina, for a recording session in Beijing. I couldn’t embed it here but by visiting the video section of the site you can watch it.

On last Wednesday December 9th, Despina Vandi attended a charity event with her children Melina and Giorgos. In a Christmas Bazaar, organized by the non-profit organization “Future” at the Hotel Semiradis in Kefalari. “The Future” is a charitable organization which stands on the side of families with children with genetic syndroms, for the last 4 years. The singer who is very sensitive to such issues could not miss it. Despina was always close to her children and participated with them in all kid’s activities. Thumbs up girl!
